OUR STAFF

SHANE MICHAEL WALDRON

Lead Pastor

My wife Nicole and I are originally from Montana, and the Lord has blessed us with four wonderful children. After attending Covenant Theological Seminary, I served as an associate pastor for five years, and then came to RMPC as the lead pastor in 2016. I am also a PhD student in ethics at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In my free time I enjoy reading, skiing, movies, and most importantly, spending time with my wife and children. I am a lifelong fan of the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Lakers.

CHRIS WENIGER

Pastor of Family Discipleship

Though I was born in Fort Collins, I spent most of my childhood in South America, until returning to the United States in 2008. Shortly after, I met my wife, Kate, and we got married in 2015. In 2018, we settled down in Colorado after finishing our graduate studies in Chicago. We love living in Colorado: hiking, rock climbing, biking, trying new coffee, and hopefully we’ll learn to ski soon! We’ve been members at RMPC since 2018 and have especially loved the rich, meaningful worship, and the intentional discipleship ministry of Journey Groups.

KRYSTAL HOUDE

Director of Operations

After 20 years in banking and living all over the US and overseas, God has prepared me for full time ministry and life in Colorado.  I enjoyed many summers here visiting my grandparents, and now I get to enjoy the area year-round.  I studied business at Biola University in Southern California and accounting at UC Berkeley Extension, but my real passion lies in home design and decorating, live theater, games, puzzles, and playing tennis.  I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my cat.

TIM VAN LANT

Pastor of Congregational Care

I was born and raised in a small Dutch dairy farming town in the Northwest corner of Washington State (I’m nearly Canadian, and I may invite you to watch a BC Lions football game).  I earned a BA from Calvin College and an M.Div. from Calvin Theological Seminary.  After seminary, I served as a solo pastor in rural Iowa.  I moved to Colorado in 2006 to marry my wife Robin, and God has blessed us with two rambunctiously wonderful kids.  We've been a part of RMPC since 2007. I enjoy reading all those good books I was supposed to have read in high school and college.  I relish listening to albums in their entirety.  Our family looks forward to daytrips around Colorado; especially wherever discounts and free stuff can be found.  And, I am always up for getting together to watch some football, hockey, or NASCAR.

GREG UPTON

Director of Music

A native of Austin Texas,  I spent 16 years in Los Angeles honing my craft in songwriting and vocal performance before moving to Denver in 2006. My family and I joined RMPC in 2007, where I was a volunteer musician for the church. Soon after I was given the opportunity to lead worship and have been doing it ever since. I enjoy golf, pickleball, and recording music in my home studio. My wife's name is Krista, and our two boys are Cade and Cash.

JONATHAN FLAGER

I am a Western Colorado native. I received my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Architecture from Judson University outside of Chicago. I have attended RMPC since late 2007 where I met and married my wife of 14 years. We have three amazing children and a goofy Goldendoodle. I enjoy design, outdoor sports, bacon, bourbon, and great fellowship. God is daily sainctifying me and has blessed me with a host of great family and friends.

CHRIS JORGENSEN

I grew up in Loveland, CO and graduated from CSU. My career took me and my wife, Elaine, to many places domestically and internationally, with an easy decision to return to Colorado in 2012 when I retired. We have been members since 2012 and have enjoyed serving and teaching over the years at RMPC. Our interests are hiking, camping, book clubs, Spanish conversation and travel. I also enjoy cooking and golf. We are fortunate to have our daughter Breanna and her family, the Flagers, as part of our church family. Our other daughter, Lychele, and son Alucard live close as well.

CLIFF OLSON

I am a retired KPMG Partner and moved to Denver from Minneapolis in 2016 to be close to my children and grandchildren.  I enjoy downhill skiing, golf and carpentry. I celebrated my 50th wedding anniversary to my enchanting college sweetheart in 2017.

FRED FLANDERS

I was born in Longmont, Colorado, a proud 4th generation native.  My great grandfather was one of the first mayors of Longmont in the early 1900's. After graduating from Mackinac College (Mackinac Island in Michigan), I went to work for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and was employed there for 39 years. One of the highlights of my life was marrying my wife Melody, and we've been married 52 years!  We have been members at RMPC since
2023, and an elder here starting in 2025. We love the amazing teaching, discipleship, care and fellowship we share at RMPC, and look forward to many years of being family members of this loving Body of Christ.

JIM HOTTINGER

I was born in the Chicago area and moved to Pueblo, Colorado, when I was in the sixth grade.  I cannot remember not attending church and Sunday school.  After graduating from Colorado State, I worked in the IT and construction business.  I retired in 2022.  I have been a long-time member of RMPC.  The church has been a blessing to me.  It is a privilege to serve the church community.  I enjoy fishing and golf.

GREG BERGSCHNEIDER

I was born, grew up, met my wife, became a believer and attended college in central Illinois.  I'm a software architect by trade, husband to my wife Jessica, father to three children, and hobbyist mechanic. I moved to Colorado January 2011 for my career after marrying Jessica and completing a BS in Computer Engineering at University of Illinois - Urbana/Champaign (UIUC) fall of 2010.  Our family joined the RMPC family Easter, 2021.  It has been a true blessing being a part of the faithful body of Christ and having opportunities to humbly serve it as well.
